On December 20, 2003, Defend Life sponsored an empty manger event outside of Planned Parenthood in Baltimore. Participants prayed the Rosary and sang Christmas carols. The empty manger, besides reminding us of our Savior's birth, also serves as a reminder of the tragedy of the babies that never get a change to "lay down their sweet heads".

On January 14, 2004, Defend Life sponsored a Face the Truth Tour in conjunction with the opening day of the Maryland General assembly. Pro-lifers from Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania came to help show the ugly reality of abortion to Maryland's elected officials.
